Social Science Exhibition :

Custer Level Social Science Exhibition was held at K.V. Air Force Station Laitkor Peak on 18th August 2007. The following are the achievements of the Vidyalaya.

1. Hindi Debate Winner: Deepa Ojha (against the motion)
2. English Debate Winner: Pallavi Singh (for the motion)
3. Raj Bhasha Debate: Rashmi Singh (for the motion)
4. One model on "Becon of Maharashtra: Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar" prepared by Gomika selected for Regional Level with scoring highest marks.
5. Quiz: Runner Up

Regional Level Social Science Exhibition was held at K.V. IOC Noonmati on 25th August 2007. The following are the achievements of the Vidyalaya.
1. Hindi Debate Winner: Deepa Ojha (against the motion) and selected to represent the Region in National Level
2. English Debate Winner: Pallavi Singh (for the motion) runner up

The Guides attended the Tritya Sopan Testing Camp held at K V Maligaon on 28th July 2007. The No. of Scouts registered in this session has increased by approx 19% a total of 202 as compared to 171 in last session. At present we have 09 Tritya Sopan, 04 Rajya Puraskar

 

 

ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATION-25th April 2009

The Annual Day of the Vidyalaya was celebrated with great pomp and show, well attended by guests and parents. The School Magazine was released by the Chief Guest and Chairman of the Vidyalaya Col. R. S. Rana. The highlight of the show was a Action Song, well performed by the Primary Students and One Act Plays based on Value Education and Folk Dance

 

 
CHILDREN'S DAY CELEBRATION-14th Nov 2006 :

The Children's Day Celebration at K.V. Happy Valley was solemnly initiated by the Principal, Shri R. P. Dwivedi in the Morning Assembly. After the prayers, Shri T. Narsimha, the House Master of the house on duty, Shivaji House, requested the Principal to place the garland on the portrait of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru whose birthday is celebrated as Children's Day .Then the Principal lighted the incense sticks as a token of reverence to this noble personality. A tribute to the leader was then read out by Sangeeta of Class XI Sc. The Principal then told the assembled that the purpose of celebrating the Birth Anniversaries of such great personages is to remind ourselves of the high principles that guided their lives and in the process we may imbibe those noble qualities and become good citizens of the country- a crying need of the times. The Principal then blessed the students and conveyed his best wishes on the auspicious occasion. The rendering of the National Anthem brought the inaugural ceremony to a close.

1. In the second half a variety of programmes were conducted as part of the celebration. These were:-
  a. An Inter-House English Extempore Speech Competition for the students of the Secondary and Higher Secondary Sections.
  b. A Sit and Draw Competition for the students of Class I, II & III.
  c. Essay competition for the students of Class IV & V.
  d. A Fancy Dress Competition for the Primary Section.

The celebration of the occasion was done in a very cheerful yet solemn manner as it warranted. The students, in large numbers, participated in the various activities and enjoyed the day.
  VIGILANCE AWARENESS WEEK:
 
  As per Government of India instructions, K.V. Happy Valley is observing Vigilance Awareness Week w.e.f. 06.11.06. The following is the programme.

1. Talk on the need of vigilance in today's scenario.
2. Pledge taking by Staff members after the school morning assembly.
3. Display of the pledge (English and Hindi) on the school display boards and at prominent areas of the school premises.
4. Teachers to practice the same during the week and form the habit of self discipline and self check.

The programme NCC conducted on each and every Friday. General Knowledge about the NCC movement, law and promise, motto, sign, salute, uniforms etc are taught.

Award for Drawing and Painting:


The aesthetic sense of the students is getting a continuous boost up by the expertise of the Art Teacher of the Vidyalaya. Many of our art lovers have been applauded by different organizations.

1 Master Brainy Sonkom and Kumari Ravijha Sharma were awarded with "Best Child Artist Award" by the Centre for Indian Art Resources and Training.
2 108 Students has got participation certificate from the Centre for Indian Art Resources and Training.

 

  Other Activities:
Yogasana Championship In XIIth Annual State Yogasana Championship competition 2007 organised by the Meghalaya Yoga Association, Vishal Chhetri of Class VII was proclaimed First in the 14 to 16 years age group.
